Retyping invoices into a spreadsheet is slow, and the errors it introduces are the kind that surface months later in a GST reconciliation. This free tool reads an invoice PDF or photo, finds the header fields — invoice number and date, seller and buyer, GSTINs, PO number, taxable value, CGST, SGST, IGST, round off and grand total — and reconstructs the line item table with description, HSN or SAC code, quantity, rate and amount. A PDF that carries a real text layer is read directly from that text, which is exact. A scan or a phone photo goes through OCR inside the browser instead, which is slower and imperfect, so every field and cell stays editable on the page and the Excel file is built from what you see after your corrections. The tool also checks the GSTIN checksums, whether the line items add up to the taxable value, and whether taxable plus tax matches the grand total — three quick tests that catch both typing errors and doctored invoices. Nothing is uploaded: the PDF is parsed, the OCR is run and the .xlsx file is written entirely in your browser.

Invoice number and date, due date, seller and buyer names, GSTINs, PO number, currency, taxable value, CGST, SGST, IGST, cess, discount, round off and grand total — plus the line item table with description, HSN or SAC, quantity, rate and amount.
Does it work on scanned invoices and photos?
Yes, through in-browser OCR, but expect to correct a few values. Text-layer PDFs are exact; OCR on a good scan is usually close; OCR on a shadowed phone photo of a crumpled invoice is the hardest case. The tool tells you which path it used.
Can I fix mistakes before downloading?
Yes. Every field and every table cell is editable, and you can add or delete line item rows. The Excel file is generated from the corrected values, not the raw extraction.
Why do some fields come back empty?
Invoice layouts vary enormously and this tool matches on common labels rather than a trained model. An unusual label, a two-column layout or a rotated scan can hide a field. Fill the blanks in yourself before exporting, or talk to us about a template-free extraction pipeline for your vendor set.
